For taking online lessons, your computer needs to be equipped with a camera and a microphone. Please always contact me by email first, before making an appointment, because there are various possibilities for making a video chat. You can find below a list of the video chat systems I am supporting:

1meeting

What you need: Google Chrome (version 36 or better), or Firefox (version 31 or better)

How it works: At the appointed time (not before that!) of our online meeting, go to my virtual class room https://1meeting.net/ronaldfischer.

Meetings.io

What you need: PC, Mac or Android Tablet with Flash Player installed (at least version 14).
You can check the version of your Flash Player by clicking here.

How it works: At the appointed time of our online meeting, go to my virtual class room https://meetings.io/ronaldfischer. Click on What's your name and enter your name. Then click on Start Meeting and stand by. It can take up to three minutes until the connection is established. During this procedure, small dialogue boxes will pop up, asking you to grant permission for using your microphone and camera. It is necessary that you are giving this permission.

AnyMeeting

What you need: PC or Mac with Flash Player installed (at least version 14).
You can check the version of your Flash Player by clicking here.

How it works: About 5-15 minutes before the appointed time of our online meeting, I will send you a unique link to the virtual class room. Click on this link. Small dialogue boxes will pop up, asking you to grant permission for using your microphone and camera. It is necessary that you give this permission.

Jitsi

What you need: PC (Windows or Linux) or Mac, the Jitsi client and a Jitsi account.

How it works: Add me to your Jitsi contacts. My Jitsi ID is ronald.fischer@jit.si. At the appointed time, start Jitsi and contact me.

Skype

What you need: A Skype account and the Skype client (version 5 or better). Skype runs on nearly every computer or tablet, but if you use a Mac, you need at least OSX 10.6.8.

How it works: Add me to your Skype contacts. My Skype name is ronny_ryoushi. At the appointed time, start Skype. You should see me as available in your contact list. Click on my name, and then on the small camera icon top right, to call me.

AIM

What you need: An AIM account and the AIM messenger program. Both can be obtained for free at http://www.aim.com/.
This will also give you a free mail account at AIM, whether you want it or not.

How it works: Add me to your AIM contacts. My AIM name is rootvafi. At the appointed time, start AIM. You should see me as available in your contact list. Click on my name, and then on the small camera icon top right, to call me.

Google Hangouts

What you need: You need a Google Gmail (or Google+) account. Next, if you have an iPad or a tablet running Android, install the Hangouts App. If you have a PC or Mac, you need first the Google Chrome web browser and can then add the Hangouts extension.

How it works: I will let you know my Gmail address, which you need to contact me via Hangouts, when we arrange the online meeting. At the appointed meeting time, enter your Google Mail or Google+ account and start a Hangout with me.

Note for Apple users

iChat / Messages : With your Mac comes a chat client called iChat.app or (in more recent versions) Messages.app. This can be used as an alternative to the AIM messenger, i.e. you can use this too to connect to my AIM/AOL user name, rootvafi.
